About the Project
Balan Engineering was selected as the Structural Engineering consultant for this ambitious Design-Build project, which involved the construction of a state-of-the-art 155,000 SF egg-grading and food-processing facility. Set to be one of the largest of its kind in North America upon completion, it will incorporate some of the most advanced egg grading technologies in the industry, including automated case packing, palletizing and depalletizing systems, and a fully integrated automated storage and retrieval system. A key part of the design is the impressive 80ft tall high bay area, designed to accommodate specialized storage and racking.
